Original Press Release:

Model 250 Label Printer Applicator for Bottom Labeling

ID Technology has recently engineered a custom system for printing and applying UPC labels to the bottom of retail cartons, ranging in size from 2.5" - 15". The system utilizes the Model 250 Label Printer Applicator to print and apply variable information labels including barcodes, text and graphics, on-line, without slowing production.

The bottom labeling system is designed with adjustable guide rails and a top hold-down to aid in the transporting of products down the belt and over a deadplate. Due to the small size of some cartons and speed requirements, a synchronous Model 250 Label Printer Applicator is used to print and "wipe" the labels onto the bottom of the product. The deadplate keeps the smaller products parallel to the labeling station and supports the carton over the expanse of the two conveyors. Finally, a verifier, positioned near the applicator, scans the barcode for readability.

ID Technology, a Pro Mach Operating Partner, is a national supplier of labeling, coding and marking systems, as well as, peripheral equipment and supplies.
