Label Mill/Coding Solutions Inc. Completing the Package for 2008 Pack Expo Attendees
(Chicago, Illinois - September 30, 2008) Label Mill/Coding Solutions Inc. is inviting 2008 Pack Expo show attendees with a thirst for knowledge of the hottest packaging technology innovations to stop by booth number S-3042 and see the latest advances in print and apply systems. New user interfaces will be on display running personalized packages with the use of several label applicator and printer applicator systems.
The new Label Mill user interfaces set Label Mill apart from all the other labeling system manufacturers because of the overall capability of the new control platform, expanding the capabilities of the systems while simplifying the user interface. Some features include: dual trigger input, tamp solenoid feedback, label sensor, printer interface module, light beacon module with additional custom programmable I/O, secondary wipe down module with additional custom programmable I/O & E-stop option, serial 232 port & serial 232plus port module, conveyor encoder interface module, take-up motor module for the LM3510, inputs and outputs can be configured for sinking or sourcing and are custom programmable.

The Label Mill label applicators exhibited will include the 1000TTS, 4005 and 1510. Two of the label applicators are fully automatic for production line environments. The third unit is semi-automatic for use in operator assisted hand pack or manual applications. All three units are designed to apply labels that are pre-printed (decorative such as a shampoo bottle label) and meet a variety of technical specifications that vary by application.
The two Label Mill printer applicators running at Pack Expo will be the 3605 and 3510. These units both offer core capabilities that allow the user to print on the label during the application process to add "live" or "variable" data on the fly. These types of systems are typically used to label cartons, pallets, or other bulk type packaging and indicate what product is packaged inside.
Label Mill will also show the 5000RPS primary labeling system. This system's function is high speed label application to "primary products" such as bottled water, shampoo bottles, paint containers, etc. This system is typically mounted in-line with the users packaging line and is capable of high speeds, great accuracy and durability.
The LM1510/3510 user interface offers a network option that provides an HTTP web page server module, providing status information about the labeler to any PC on the network. The LM1510 & LM3510 can be programmed utilizing the HLI-100 hand held programming pendent or with the optional "Smart Touch Screen". The Smart Touch Screen features its own integrated control and can control up to four labelers and the complete LM5000RPS conveyor system. The touch screen displays all applicator information and status in addition it displays all conveyor speeds, additional information and conveyor status.
The Label Mill Smart Touch Screen Features include: light beacon output, eight relay outputs, 12 optically isolated inputs, eight sinking outputs, three 0 to 10 volts DC drive outputs, one plus or minus 0 to 10volt DC servo drive output, two PWM drive outputs, two encoder inputs, four labeler network ports and one aux serial port.
