L&L Special Furnace Ships Semi-Automatic Box Oven to Aerospace Customer

Aston, Pa (May 15, 2009) - L&L Special Furnace Company has shipped a semi-automated integral quench oven for a leading producer of optical, aerospace and aluminum components.

The Model DRQX246 oven is specifically designed to meet AMS2750D and AMS2770H standards along with many other aerospace specifications. The oven is ideal for aluminum parts that can be placed on a rack system. The furnace has 2 stages so it allows for true production capabilities. The typical working zone is 24" wide by 24" high by 36" deep. The overall dimensions are 63" wide by 150" high by 126" deep (including quench tank).

The oven interior is constructed of 304 stainless steel with louvers to direct air flow. It includes a 5 HP fan for convection with a motor control for consistent uniformity at low temperatures. The elements are divided into three zones with manual biasing for additional adjustment of temperature gradients. The system includes a heated and agitated stainless steel quench tank and transition bridge.
