HP USB/PS2 KVM Switch Delivers Effortless Device Sharing

HP announces the HP USB/PS2 KVM Switch, a four-port integrated keyboard, video monitor, and mouse (KVM) system for managing multiple USB and PS2 devices from a single console. Available in a compact rack-mount or tabletop configuration, the switch supports devices including computers, servers, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and storage.
KVM, audio and USB focus can be switched together or independently using intuitive hot-keys for efficient sharing of devices. A system administrator could begin burning a DVD on one system, switch to another system to download a software patch from the Web, while simultaneously listening to an instructional CD playing from the local workstation.
In addition, the HP 1×4 USB/PS2 KVM Switch supports resolutions up to 2048 × 1536 at 75Hz allowing a single high-resolution monitor to be switched between four systems -- reducing desk clutter and costs. For customers with rack mount servers, the HP USB/PS2 KVM Switch fits neatly into a standard 19 inch rack via side-, back- or rear-mounting options.
Sold through Authorized Dealers, the 4-port HP USB/PS2 KVM Switch is available now with a U.S. Internet price of $199 for the desktop model and $229 for the rack-mount model. Pricing may vary by country or region.
