Tripp Lite Introduces Economical 8-Port KVM Switch for Additional PC/Server Control in any Environment
Chicago, IL (October 14, 2005)-Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of cabling and power protection equipment, is proud to introduce a new addition to its KVM Switch product line-the 8-Port Standard KVM Switch (model # B004-008). The B004-008 is designed for small office/home office, mid-size workstation and network environments where between five and eight PCs or servers need to be controlled by a single keyboard/video/mouse console.
The new 8-Port Standard KVM Switch is one of the most convenient and economical solutions available for controlling multiple PCs or servers, with several premium features. The KVM switch is rackmountable in a standard 19-inch rack system and is easy to install with plug-and-play setup (no software required). Hot-pluggable capability allows users to add or remove PCs or servers without powering down the console. Users can individually control all 8 ports using hotkey commands or individual port selection switches on the front of the unit. An LED is dedicated to each port for easy status monitoring, which eliminates the need to check the back of the switch to verify connection. An entire system can be monitored at once, with a quick, auto-scanning feature that directs the KVM to automatically sequence through all active CPU ports. In addition, superior video resolution handles SVGA, VGA and Multisync monitors.

Three KVM Cable Kits are available to connect a PC or server to the KVM (model #s P750-006-6 ft., P750-010-10 ft., P750-015-15 ft.).
