Comtech Xicom Technology Introduces 750W Peak Power High-Efficiency, KU-Band HPA
Doubles output power and boosts efficiency by offering 750W performance in 400W size package
SANTA CLARA, CA - - - Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc., a technology leader in high power amplifier products for satellite communications (SATCOM), today introduced a new high efficiency, 750 Watt peak power, Ku-band traveling wave tube amplifier (TWTA) with the size, weight and prime-power consumption of standard 400 Watt amplifiers.
Xicom Technology's model XTD-750KHE high power amplifier (HPA) is an antenna mountable TWTA designed for high linear power and outstandingly high efficiency for Ku-band SATCOM uplinks. The new amplifier is in a compact, rugged package weighing only 56 pounds. Drawing only 1450W at 270W of linear RF output power, the amplifier is ideal for transportable applications where high efficiency, light weight, and high ambient temperature operation are required.
