KSB at Drinktec 2013 in Munich

Special eye-catcher at the KSB stand from 16 - 20 September 2013 will be the new SuPremE pump motor. Developed by KSB, it is a real highlight where saving energy is concerned. With its synchronous reluctance principle the motor provides users with a technology that is ideally suited to fulfil all future requirements for energy-efficient drives of pumps. It meets the planned IE4 efficiency requirements to IEC/CD 60034-30 Ed. 2 already today.

The focal point of KSB’s presentation in Munich will be the five hygienic pump series Vitachrom, Vitacast, Vitastage, Vitalobe and Vitaprime. Thanks to their almost complete lack of dead volume, they are very easy to clean and thus meet every requirement in respect of absolutely germ-free processes. The pumps’ excellent cleaning and steaming in place (CIP/SIP) capabilities are also promoted by electropolished wetted components and the use of high-grade stainless steel. Whether it be for handling mash and wort or products in the hygienic production area of breweries: thanks to the large number of design variants, these pumps can be employed for almost every task involving the transport of liquid or viscous food. All pumps belonging to the Vita series have been awarded the certificates common to the industry, and their elastomer components conform to FDA standards.

At this year’s Drinktec, KSB will present the latest generation of its multi-functional valve control units and positioners for pneumatic quarter-turn and linear actuators. Thanks to their modular design, the units are ideally suited for use in the beer and beverage industry. The new AMTRONIC and SMARTRONIC incorporate functions ranging from simple open/close control of a pneumatic valve with open/closed position signalling to control tasks which are independently completed from a higher-level control station. Operators will enjoy the comforts of an all-in package consisting of valve, actuator and intelligent control unit or positioner, supplied fully parameterised and tested.

To represent the extensive KSB valve product range, SISTO-C diaphragm valves will be on display alongside shut-off butterfly valves and gate valves. SISTO-C has been designed for hygienic and sterile applications in the food and beverage industry. Its components are made exclusively of high-alloy, austenitic materials. The bodies have no dead volume and can be cleaned without leaving any residues. The use of multi-port valves enables very complex systems without any dead end pipe runs (dead legs).

The KSB stand at the fairgrounds/ICM has the number 301 and is situated in Hall B4.
