Kontron Reports Two Multi-Million-Euro Design Wins in the Information and Telecommunications Sector
Eching, Germany, June 17, 2009- Kontron AG, one of the world's leading providers of embedded computer systems, has announced two design wins with a total volume of around $60 million. From the fourth quarter of 2009, and over an initial period of three years, Kontron will be supplying its latest Server Motherboards Kontron KTC5520-EATX for one of the world's largest manufacturers of highly complex technical applications for the information and telecommunications sector.
"The outsourcing trend among manufacturers of such applications is on the rise in times of macroeconomic tension," commented Kontron CEO Ulrich Gehrmann. He went on to say that, in order to remain competitive, an increasing number of companies are concentrating on their core competencies, and are relying on Kontron's high-performance and cost-efficient systems.
