Kodak's Document Imaging Group Receives Distinctive Industry Recognition from Better Buys for Business, and Buyer's Laboratory, Inc.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -Kodak's Document Imaging group recently received prestigious honors from two leading industry publications for bringing innovation and unique scanning technology to the document capture market. These awards demonstrate Kodak's commitment to delivering solutions that enable businesses to have robust, digitally-powered workflows-and improve results at the point of capture.

KODAK i4200 and i4600 Scanners receive Better Buys for Business' Scan to File Guide "Innovative Products of the Year" award:

Kodak took honors in the annual Better Buys for Business' analysis of the most "Innovative Products of the Year" for both its i4200 and i4600 Scanners. Featured commentary included, "the i4200 and i4600 offer strong production scanning at a moderate price. In addition to excellent speed and flexible paper-handling, they offer the usual strong Kodak imaging features." The high-speed scanners deliver production-level daily page cycles of 30,000 pages and 50,000 pages, respectively. The scanners were also noted for their flexible paper handling, and bundled software technology including Kodak's Perfect Page Scanning Technology, KODAK Capture Desktop Software and Kodak's Smart Touch feature.

Kodak wins two winter 2011 BLI "Pick" awards in departmental and production Scanning:

Buyer's Laboratory, Inc. (BLI) also awarded two distinctive honors to Kodak in its scanner category. The two Winter 2011 BLI "Pick" Awards include, "Outstanding 35-to-55 ppm A3 Departmental Scanner," (KODAK i1405 Scanner), and "Outstanding 100-140 ppm A3 Production Scanner," (KODAK i4600 Scanner). In addition to receiving high marks for ratings of Very Good or Excellent in the majority of performance categories, both scanners also received recognition for excellent reliability, media-handling and image-processing capabilities, and Kodak's "superb" capture software. The i1405 was also recognized for faster than average color scanning speeds and a higher than average efficiency rate, while the i4600 was noted for excellent control panel design, automatic color detection feature, and significantly lower than average total cost of ownership.

"Kodak's broad portfolio of document capture technology continues to make information more accessible while enabling more efficient workflow processes for data-driven industries," said Tony Barbeau, General Manager, Document Imaging, Kodak's Business Solutions and Services Group. "The industry recognition for the innovation of the KODAK i4000 Series Scanners and i1405 Scanner demonstrates our commitment to engaging with customers and partners-delivering intuitive technology that meets their business needs.
