Kodak's Desktop Scanners Outpace the Competition to Earn Industry Accolades from PCMag and Better Buys for Business
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Desktop scanners from Kodak's Document Imaging closed out 2011 atop the competition with notable achievements from both PCMag and Better Buys for Business (BBB). The KODAK i2600 Scanner and KODAK SCANMATE i920 Scanner earned awards for ease-of-use, robust functionality, image quality and overall performance.
PC Mag recognizes the KODAK i2600 Scanner among "Best of the Year 2011"
Among thousands of technology products reviewed by PCMag in 2011, the KODAK i2600 Scanner surpassed industry-standard benchmarks to earn a four-of-five stars review and a gold rating as a "Best of the Year 2011" product.
Specific qualifications included product testing by a PCMag analyst in the mid-November 2010 to November 1, 2011 timeframe. Expert evaluations include numerous industry-standard benchmark tests and a variety of reproducible internal tests.
"As a heavy-duty scanner in a small office or workgroup, Kodak's i2600 is fast, has a whopping 75-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), and a rated duty cycle of 4,000 sheets per day," said Tony Hoffman, Analyst, PCMag.
Further citing the rich feature-set of the i2600, including simple, one-button desktop scanning (into Microsoft SharePoint and other web-based applications), Hoffman continued, "Its three-row by 15-character LCD shows scan profile names as you scroll through the choices, a feature that makes it far easier to take advantage of one-button scanning than most scanners, which typically provide just numbers rather than names."
