New Kits Help Find AC&R Leaks Fast!
Two new Spectroline® LeakFinder(TM) BigEZ(TM) kits have all the tools needed to pinpoint refrigerant leaks in large air-conditioning systems - quickly, accurately and economically. Each kit features the easy-to-use BigEZ multi-dose dye injector, which eliminates pouring, measuring and messy spills when adding fluorescent dyes to AC&R systems. All it takes is one, easy connection to the system's low-side service port. And since the dye is introduced mechanically, no additional refrigerant is needed to propel the dye into the system.
Both kits include a ¼" flare hose with check valve. The BEZ-400CS kit contains a 4 oz. (120 ml) mineral oil dye cartridge, while the BEZ-400/ECS kit has a 4 oz. (120 ml) polyol ester (universal) dye cartridge. Each prefilled cartridge contains enough OEM-approved AR-GLO® fluorescent leak detection dye to treat AC&R systems with up to 16 gallons of lubricant.
The disposable dye cartridges are calibrated in 1/8 oz. (3.75 ml) increments, so technicians can add the exact amount of dye for each system being serviced - with a simple turn of a handle! The recommended dosage ratio is 1 oz. of dye for every 100 lbs. of refrigerant or 38 tons of cooling.
