Original Press Release:

Encrypt and Remove Vital Data with DataPak(TM) Kits

Data security is vital, and HDDM 210 and 220 series DataPak(TM) kits from CyberResearch, Inc. provide two levels of protection. - First, they convert an ordinary IDE hard drive into a removable drive, so sensitive data need not be left on your system. - Second, they encrypt your data even when it's on your system.

The CyberResearch® HDDM 210 and 220 series of DataPak kits house 3.5" IDE hard drives in removable kits sized to fit in 5.25" drive bays. - The HDDM 210 and 210B kits provide 64-bit DES encryption, while the HDDM 220 and 220B kits provide even stronger triple-DES 128-bit encryption. - DataPak kits without encryption capabilities are also available for ATA and SATA drives.

Each encryption module comes with three electronic keys coded with a 64-bit or 128-bit prime number that becomes the basis for your encryption. - If one key is lost, one of the remaining two can be sent to CyberResearch and a duplicate prepared, while you continue using the third key.

There is no "back door" for the encryption. - CyberResearch does not retain a record or copy of your prime number, and we cannot decrypt your data.

In addition to HDDM 200 encrypting DataPaks from $225 - now shipping from stock - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers rugged industrial PCs and PC systems, as well as CPU cards, displays, data-acquisition, and motion-control systems. - For more product information, call Joe Tetreault at 800-341-2525, or visit http://www.cyberresearch.com/datapak.
