Keyless Shaft Connections lock parts in position.

Press Release Summary:

ETP shaft connections slide onto shaft and provide solid keyless connection between shaft and hub to position and lock pulleys, sprockets, and gears. They eliminate need for keyways, tapers, and tapped holes, which can cause component stress and wear. Connections have double walled steel sleeve filled with pressure medium that expands when compressed by screw tightening mechanism. They are suitable for synchronizing and phasing sprockets or timing belts.

ETP Keyless Shaft Connections Position And Lock Pulleys, Sprockets And Gears into Position

Plymouth, Minnesota: Reciprocating motion in automated machinery can weaken keyways and tapers that position and hold pulleys, sprockets and gears causing system failure.

To prevent these problems, ETP shaft connections provide a solid keyless connection between shaft and hub. They therefore eliminate the need for keyways, tapers and tapped holes, which can cause component, stress and wear, with eventual fatigue and system failure.

ETP Connections feature a double-walled steel sleeve filled with a pressure medium that expands when compressed by the screw tightening mechanism. They quickly slide onto a shaft and securely lock into position most shaft mounted motion control components. Ideal for synchronizing and phasing of sprockets or timing belts, ETP Connections can frequently and easily be readjusted as needed.

Unlike keyway mounted components, which are non-adjustable, ETP Connections are infinitely phase-adjustable, making them more precise and easier to use. They can be tightened and repositioned without wear and with minimum system downtime. And since it is not necessary to mill keyways into a shaft using ETP Connections, smaller shaft diameters can be used, saving space and material cost.

Available in different models with many inch and metric bore sizes, there is an ETP Connection for every type of application. ETP Connections for very high transmittable torque applications, stainless steel models for washdown and corrosion protection, and models for high RPM and runout accuracy are available.
