KEMPER STORATEC - Making It Easier to Store and Handle Large Metal Sheets

· Presenting new storage and portal systems at the EuroBLECH 2012 exhibition

· Focusing on the Storasheet XXL and Storautomation

· A new member of the field service team in time for the exhibition

Lünen, Germany- Storing and retrieving large metal sheets and automatically loading and unloading cutting machines are some of the key processes involved in sheet metal working. The company KEMPER STORATEC will be showing visitors how these processes can be optimized at the EuroBLECH exhibition in Hanover, Germany, from 23rd to 27th October. The company's exhibition stand at this event will mainly focus on its Storasheet XXL sheet metal storage system and a portal system from its Storautomation range. Both of these systems are designed for stationary use and can be extended using modular units. The company from the Westphalian town of Lünen is also increasing its international efforts in perfect timing with the EuroBLECH exhibition by welcoming the automation industry expert Florian Schmidt to the STORATEC team. You can find KEMPER STORATEC at booth B64 in Hall 12 at the EuroBLECH exhibition.

"These new products enable us to make the procedures involved in the processing of sheet metal much easier for metal processing companies", emphasises Helmut Flechtner, the Managing Director of KEMPER STORATEC, a subsidiary of the company KEMPER GmbH from the Westphalian town of Vreden. The Storasheet XXL sheet metal storage system is able to hold loads of up to five tons per rack and the portal system from the Storautomation range is ideal for automatically loading and unloading cutting machines.

A Portal System Compatible with Cutting Machines

The new Storautomation system can be integrated into cutting machine software and therefore provides users with fully automatic operation without the need for operating staff. It works by using a suction unit to move sheet metal from the pick-up station to the cutting table and then using a rake under the suction unit to remove the metal after the cutting procedure. "The loading and unloading system from our range of automation solutions enables us to guarantee both the safe removal of cut sheet metal and the secure handling of sheet metal blanks", explains Flechtner. On top of this, an interface can also be used to combine the portal system with different cutting machines. Its modular construction even means that multiple cutting machines can be automated using a row of systems. KEMPER STORATEC will be presenting its portal system at the EuroBLECH as a unit including a cutting table with a shift function and a filter system, both of which are combined with a laser cutting machine.

The Storasheet XXL is one of the products in the company's new range of stationary storage systems. Its single-tower construction provides storage space for metal sheets up to a size of 2000 x 6000 mm. It also features a rack feeder that is mounted on the tower and enables sheets to be automatically fed into and retrieved from the storage system. As is also the case with the L and XL models, users can extend the Storasheet XXL to form a double tower by adding modular units, as well as adjusting the height of their storage towers to up to a maximum of 20 metres. The Storasheet XXL can additionally be connected to automation systems such as products from the Storautomation range or cutting machines.

An Automation Expert Strengthens the STORATEC Team

KEMPER STORATEC has added to its team of staff in time for the EuroBLECH exhibition by recruiting the automation industry specialist Florian Schmidt to its field service team as its International Sales Manager. After completing vocational training as a mechanical engineering technician, the 32-year-old last spent eight years working in the field of sales, five of which were spent in the automation industry, in particular in STORATEC's core business area: the storage and handling of sheet metal and long goods.

KEMPER STORATEC can be found at booth B64 in Hall 12 at the EuroBLECH exhibition in Hanover. Appointments for personal meetings with the KEMPER STORATEC representatives at the exhibition can be arranged in advance by calling +49 (0)2306 3061012.
