KEMET is First to Market with New Lead-Free Options for Tantalum Leaded Capacitors


GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 30 /-- KEMET Corporation (NYSE:KEM) announced today that KEMET is first to market with new RoHS- compliant/lead-free components in the Axial Molded (T322), Radial Molded (T340) and Commercial Herm Seal (T110/T140) capacitors. Standard tin/lead (Sn/Pb) versions will remain available. This expansion of RoHS-compliant/lead- free options for its tantalum leaded product line is in accordance with environmental legislation eliminating lead (Pb) from the manufacture of electronic components.
