KEMET Announces Six New 6 Milliohm ESR T520D Cases and Two New High-Capacitance Offerings in Its Recently Released Low-Inductance (ESL) T528 Face-Down Series
Greenville, South Carolina (July 28, 2006) - KEMET Corporation (NYSE: KEM) announced today the introduction of six new 6 milliohm ESR T520D cases, along with two new high-capacitance offerings in the recently released Low-Inductance (ESL) T528 Face-Down series. KEMET has strengthened its leadership position in low ESR, low ESL and CV with these new releases in the Conductive Polymer T520 and T528 series. The new 6 milliohm versions of the T520 series part types are currently available in a D (7343-31) case size with capacitance in the range of 150-470 microfarads and voltage ratings of 2.5 to 6 volts. These new releases represent the lowest ESR available in the market today for this style of capacitor. These products are ideal for applications that demand high capacitance retention at high operating frequencies such as high-end servers, high-speed motherboards and notebook computers.
Also now available is a new capacitance offering in the recently released T528 Face-Down series. With a capacitance value of 470 microfarads, this new release offers the highest capacitance value in the market today for low-ESL polymer capacitors. This new T528 release is available in a Z case (7343-17) with two ESR levels (9 milliohms and 12 milliohms) and a 2.5 volt rating. The T528 Series combines ultra-low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and high capacitance in a new package design that offers the lowest ESL (inductance) in the market for this type of product. This series is targeted for high-speed server and microprocessor decoupling-designs that are driving the demand for low-inductance chips.
