KEMET Announces Release of Established Reliability 50 Volt Ratings in CWR09- and CWR29-Style Capacitors Qualified to MIL-PRF-55365/4 and /11 in Addition to New Termination Options for All CWR-Style Capacitors
GREENVILLE, S.C., Aug. 31 /KEMET Corporation (NYSE:KEM) today announced the release of twenty-two established reliability part numbers qualified to MIL-PRF-55365/4 & /11, styles CWR09 and CWR29, for both the T409 and T429 Series. These new additions have expanded KEMET's current portfolio of CWR-style offerings to include the complete listing of 50 volt CWR09 and CWR29 styles. These additions offer 100% Surge Current testing as an option for all case sizes, along with Weibull grading (B and C levels). Each series is offered in eight case sizes with capacitance values of 0.1 microfarad to 4.7 microfarads.
In addition, KEMET Corporation announced the release of three new termination finish options for the T409, T419, T429, and T492 Series part numbers qualified to MIL-PRF-55365/4 and /11, styles CWR09, CWR11, CWR19, and CWR29. These new termination finishes include gold-plated, hot-solder-dipped, and solder-fused options that give defense and aerospace designers the flexibility to incorporate any termination finish qualified to MIL-PRF-55365. These options are in addition to KEMET's current solder-plated offering.
Typical applications for these CWR-style capacitors are decoupling, bypass, filtering, and R-C timing circuits. Lead times are eight to twelve weeks, depending on the specific testing options requested.
