Kardex Remstar Integrates New Smart Solutions at Promat 2015
Continuing on their journey to provide innovative storage and order picking solutions and applications, Kardex Remstar will display their full line of smart solutions at Promat 2015 in Chicago, IL March 23 – 26, 2015 in Kardex Remstar booth #2031. Featuring various solutions for smart storage, order picking and material handling, Kardex Remstar will display their latest application, sort2ship, used for compact, high speed case and tote buffering and sequencing as well as automatic goods to man order picking for small parts inventory.
Utilizing sort2ship for buffering and sequencing, order lines from various storage systems – including storage lifts, vertical carousels, and static shelving – are grouped together in a compact solution. Conveying technology in combination with an automatic load handling device, automatically transport containers to the Megamat RS Vertical Carousel for buffer storage. On demand, the containers can then be sequenced according to customer specific shipping options – such as delivery time – and automatically retrieved for packaging or sent directly to shipping. Sort2ship enables distribution centers and e-commerce suppliers with several thousand order lines per day to significantly increase their order picking productivity.
Sort2ship is also an ideal solution for small parts goods to man order picking. The integrated conveyor and automatic handling device can automatically store and retrieve small parts inventory delivering inventory to multiple work stations for maximum productivity and vastly improved ergonomics.
In addition, the Megamat RS vertical carousels and Shuttle XP vertical lift modules are the foundation of smart order picking solutions from Kardex Remstar. With the Power Pick Global warehouse management software, smart storage strategies such as batch picking can be adopted and user-friendly features including pick-to-light and put-to-light can be integrated.
