Kalamazoo Industries Products Receive CE Certification for Sale In Europe
Kalamazoo Industries announced it has received CE certification on its line of wet saws and can manufacture sanders to that European standard for sale into the countries of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). Kalamazoo Industries models covered include K10SW abrasive saw, K12-14CS masonry saw, K12-14MS metallurgical saw, the K12-14W abrasive cut-off saw and the KM20-22 abrasive mitre saw. Sanders include a wide range of Belt and Disc models.
The CE symbol identifies a product conforming to a European Directive developed by a coalition of European countries that form the European Union. The primary purpose of a harmonized standard was to make it easier to sell and transport goods between the various countries and to maintain a safe working and living environment. Currently, the members of the EU are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway together with the EU members make up the European Economic Area (EEA) and all are covered by the Directives.
