Jet Mill achieves high degree of fineness.

Press Release Summary:

Model CDS combines spiral jet mill design with dynamic air classifier wheel, which strictly controls upper particle size. Oversized particles are virtually eliminated from finished product. Compact design makes assembly, disassembly, and thorough cleaning between product batches easy. Residual material in mill is minimized, making CDS suitable for pharmaceuticals and high value powders.

Original Press Release:

High Density Bed Jet Mill - A New Interpretation Of The Conventional Spiral Jet Mill

EXTON, PA, October, 2002 NETZSCH-CONDUX®, a proven leader in manufacturing dry grinding and classification equipment, introduces the new CDS High Density Bed Jet Mill. The CDS mill combines a spiral jet mill design with a patented dynamic air classifier wheel. With this combination, the NETZSCH-CONDUX® CDS achieves high degrees of fineness independent of product loading, thereby achieving higher throughput rates.

The machine housing design of the CDS offers numerous value-added benefits. Its compact design makes assembly, disassembly, and thorough cleaning between product batches extremely easy. Residual material in the mill is minimized, making the CDS ideal for pharmaceuticals and other high value powders.

The heart of this new mill is its high-precision dynamic classifier wheel. Exact particle size distributions are easily reproduced by the internal air classifier. Unlike typical spiral jet mill designs, the upper particle size is strictly controlled by the classifier wheel. Because of this integrated classifier, oversized particles are virtually eliminated from the finished product. The classifier allows control of the upper particle size without the creation of additional fines.
