Jennifer Goedde Takes on Expanded Role at Calculated Industries

Company is expanding product lines, solidifying relationships with distributors

CARSON CITY, Nev. - Jennifer Goedde has been named Sales MarCom Manager at Calculated Industries. Goedde has been Marketing and Communications Manager at the company since 2010. In her new role she will be in charge of national and international sales while continuing to oversee all of the company's advertising, marketing and social media efforts.

Calculated Industries (CI) was long known primarily as a maker of construction and real estate calculators, but over the past ten years, the company has aggressively worked to expand its offerings by developing new products and acquiring existing products from other companies.

"It's really been an exciting time," Goedde says. "The owners and executives have worked hard, and creatively, to expand our product offerings while staying within our primary niche — providing tools for professional builders and skilled DIYers. Plus, we are constantly striving to take care of our many distributors, from the big boxes to niche tool distributors."

Two of the company's successful new product launches include the Blind Mark Drywall Tools and the AirShim Inflatable Pry Bar and Leveling Tool. Goedde says that Blind Mark was acquired and AirShim was developed at CI. "Blind Mark was a unique product that provided an innovative solution that saves drywall installers time and money. We knew it was a good fit for CI and it has been very popular."

"The AirShim was different," Goedde continued. "There were other similar products out there designed for the automotive industry, but they had shortcomings. We saw the value and usefulness for the construction industry, so we increased the durability and the lifting capability, and it just took off."

CI also now offers a range of precision woodworking and metalworking tools in its AccuMaster line including digital levels and calipers. The next product roll-out will be Calculated Industries' DigiRoller Plus III, a re-designed, beefed up version of its original DigiRoller. "It's a good one," Goedde says, "rugged, accurate and affordable. This is an interesting and challenging time for anyone in construction-related businesses. There's a lot happening and we're excited about it."
