JDSU to Highlight Solutions Designed to Advance Agile Optical Networks at OFC/NFOEC 2007

JDSU Leaders to Provide Industry Commentary During Several Conference Sessions

MILPITAS, Calif., March 20 // -- JDSU announced today that it will highlight solutions from its optical communications and communications test and measurement portfolios at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference/National Fiber Optics Engineers Conference (OFC/NFOEC) in Anaheim, California from March 27 - 29th. The solutions are designed to advance agile optical networks (AON) and help support on-demand traffic generated by consumers and enterprises.

"On-demand applications have exploded in popularity over the past year, and are driving an ever-increasing need for flexible and high-quality network products and services," said Enzo Signore, vice president of Corporate Marketing at JDSU. "With our solutions, JDSU helps to ensure high quality and reliability at every stage of network development and deployment to support the evolution of agile optical networks."

JDSU will showcase a variety of optical communications solutions at OFC/NFOEC, including new developments in its wavelength selective switch (WSS) offerings, and advances to its tunable transmission, amplification, and storage area network extension systems and components.

Communications test and measurement demonstrations will include new capabilities for JDSU's widely adopted T-BERD 8000 fiber optic test instrument that further enables field technicians to test next-generation network elements. JDSU also will demonstrate OCETS Plus, designed for the latest requirements in optical component qualification testing, and the OTU-8000, a rack-mounted remote test and monitoring unit for fiber optic networks. JDSU will also display combined product offerings with several of its industry partners, including Ciena Corporation, during the event. JDSU invites attendees to visit booth # 2421 during OFC/NFOEC exhibit hours to learn more about how JDSU is advancing AON.

During OFC/NFOEC, JDSU leaders will provide industry insight and commentary on a variety of topics, including:
