ITW TACC's FOAMSEAL® Brand Adhesives Earn Greenguard® CERTIFICATION

Rockland, MA (February 25, 2008): Manufactured housing adhesives from Foamseal have earned GREENGUARD Children & Schools certification, the most recognized indoor air quality standard for building materials. Chamber-tested to GREENGUARD's requirements were Foamseal's F2100 Ceiling and Wall Adhesive, F6400LVR Wall and Floor Adhesive, Big Bond RV Sidewall Adhesive, as well as MIRACLE® brand GUN 'N GO Drywall Adhesive and Easy Flow Subfloor Adhesive.

Foamseal brand adhesive changed the way manufactured homes were built. As a structural foam insulation adhesive, Foamseal rid ceilings, walls and floors of nails and screws, dramatically reducing structure weight and speeding production time. Now, with indoor air quality concerns increasing-in large part due to FEMA trailer formaldehyde testing-Foamseal becomes the first MH/RV product to achieve GREENGUARD certification.

GREENGUARD Children & Schools testing detects a wide spectrum of chemical emissions such as formaldehyde, aldehydes and phthalates that can off-gas from construction materials, adversely affecting the health of building occupants. "Foamseal and GREENGUARD is the perfect combination for our customers," said MH/RV Business Manager Sean Tanner. "Indoor air quality is fundamental to our customers' livelihood and ITW TACC adhesives have always been first, especially when it comes to GREENGUARD."

Foamseal and MIRACLE join Z® Solvent-Free laminating adhesives, MASON BOND® masonry adhesive and Miracle-Kingco HVAC adhesives and sealants in ITW TACC's GREENGUARD portfolio. A division of Illinois Tool Works Inc., ITW TACC manufactures high performance adhesives and sealants used in manufactured housing, construction, roofing, woodworking, HVAC, transportation and marine.
