ISVI to Premier Its Technologically Advanced Line of High-Speed High-Resolution Cameras at SPIE 2013

ISVI, a “Leading Global Supplier” of high-speed, high-resolution cameras will premier the latest in its line of Technologically Advanced Industrial Camera Systems at the upcoming SPIE Defense, Security and Sensing Show in booth #1940. The three-day event will take place April 30-May 2 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore Maryland.

At the show, ISVI will feature its exclusive 25MP/53fps and 12MP/175fps Quad Channel CoaXPress Cameras. CoaXPress (CXP) is an asymmetric high-speed point to point serial communication standard for the transmission of video and still images, scalable over single or multiple coaxial cables. It has a high-speed downlink of up to 6.25Gbps per cable for video, images and data, plus a lower speed 20Mbps uplink for communications and control. Power also is available over the cable (“Power-over-Coax”) and cable lengths of greater than 100 meters may be achieved.

CoaXPress combines the elegant simplicity of coaxial cable with state-of-the-art high-speed serial data technology. The combination of these two highly desirable features - standard coaxial cable and “express” speed - provides a revolutionary leap forward in high-speed image and data transmission.

ISVI pioneered the design and development of the “World’s First” Quad Channel CoaXPress Camera. Each channel can transmit up to 6.25 Gbs for a maximum data transfer rate of 25Gbps. The camera speed is scalable from CXP-1@1.25Gbits/s to CXP-6@25Gbits/s. With lower speed CXP-1 applications, one frame grabber will support up to four CXP cameras. ISVI’s CXP cameras are supported by the following frame grabbers: Matrox Radient CXP Grabber, Bitflow Carbon CXP Grabber and the Active Silicon FireBird CXP Grabber.

ISVI also will display a newly developed 29MP/5fps CCD Camera Link Base for UAV, OLED inspection and other extremely low light level applications. The new ISVI 29MP-CCD and the 12MP-CXP cameras will be available in Mono or Color 8bit/10bit/12bit Raw Bayer. The 25MP-CXP camera will be available in Mono or Color 8bit/10bit. All cameras provide advanced image processing features such as auto or manual white balance, Gama setting, low noise, and high dynamics range. The cameras also have industrial grade features to maximize performance in machine vision environments including precise sensor alignment, a built-in temperature sensor and rugged construction tested to withstand extensive shock and vibration.

Al Sabeh, President of ISVI, stated, “ISVI has earned a solid reputation for the design and development of leading-edge Industrial Cameras with a special emphasis on performance, quality and cost-effectiveness. We look forward to displaying our new CoaXPress Quad Channel 12MP and 25MP cameras as well as our new 29MP CCD Camera Link camera at SPIE. We are confident that this new technology will set the standard by which all other industrial cameras are measured.”
