Micro-miniature Inert Isolation Valve
Flanders, NJ -- Quality Valve & Components is proud to release our new Model 218 micro-miniature manifold mount solenoid-operated inert 2-way isolation valve. Measuring less than one inch long by 3/8" of an inch in total diameter this micro-
miniature solenoid-operated valve has been designed to reduce the space required by typical solenoid valves while delivering the same high performance. Designed for manifold integration this micro-miniature valve features a simple straightforward manifold interface design, requiring no locating pins, simplifying OEM manifold systems while drastically reducing the space needed by traditional valves. Additionally, the micro-miniature size of Model 218 facilitates close valve proximity greatly reducing the total volume of system media due to reduced plumbing lengths and simplified flow path configurations.
The Model 218 design features complete media isolation utilizing a Teflon® diaphragm and Peek valve body for good chemical resistance, making the Model 218 ideal for corrosive gasses and fluids typically found in analytical and bio-medical applications. While small in size the Model 218 micro-miniature inert isolation valve features good flow characteristics. (405 cc/min @ 30 psi with water) With less than 12 microliters of total internal volume precious media is saved and precise results are achieved. Valves are available in two coil configurations, 24 vdc 1.2 watt standard or our optional 24 vdc CoolCoil(TM) at 0.5 watts which at continuous duty is rated for a max temperature rise of 35°C. Model 218 is rated at 30 psi standard with high pressure configurations available.
