SynQor Releases Full Portfolio of DC/DC Solutions for 12V Battery Systems
InQor® industry-standard half and quarter brick formats 11 output voltages; 4 power levels
BOXBOROUGH, Mass., July 14, 2009 -SynQor announces the release of the IQ12 series, expanding its InQor family of isolated dc-dc converters for industrial and transportation applications using 12V battery systems. Available as standard products, the IQ12 converters accept an input range of 9-22Vin, exceeding the requirements of EN50155 for both steady state and transient voltage conditions in 12V railway systems. IQ12 converters incorporate next-generation, board-mountable, fixed switching frequency technology, and use synchronous rectification to achieve power conversion efficiencies approaching 92%.
Fully encased and ruggedized for protection from harsh environments, the IQ12 series is comprised of eleven output voltages, including 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V, 7V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 28V, 30V, 40V and 48V. Four power level options are available in order to optimize cost, performance and space in new designs. The 180W and 140W converters are offered in the industry-standard half brick form factor, while the 100W and 75Wconverters are available in the standard quarter brick form factor.
The broad range of power levels and output voltages makes the IQ12 series suitable for a variety of applications using 12V battery systems, such as industrial automation, process control, electronic equipment on transit buses, construction, mining and maintenance vehicles, forklifts, and other industrial vehicles. The use of fixed switching frequency technology simplifies EMI filtering when the IQ12 converter is used in combination with the complementary IQ040PFQTC30 filter module.
