Isilon Named Best of FOSE 2007

SEATTLE, March 23 - Isilon® Systems (NASDAQ:ISLN), the leader in clustered storage, today announced that Isilon IQ was named as "Best of FOSE 2007" in the event's storage award category. The GCN Best of FOSE Awards, selected by Government Computer News editors, highlight new and innovative technologies across a wide range of categories at the world's largest gathering of government IT professionals.

"The federal government spends more than $75 billion annually on information technology, so industry pays close attention. This made choosing this year's Best of FOSE products very difficult," said Wyatt Kash, editor in chief of GCN. "The editors looked for product innovation particularly suited to the public sector, and we were not disappointed. Participating companies showcased new ways for government to operate more efficiently, safeguard our country and move our national agenda forward."

"We are seeing organizations in all branches of federal government - intelligence, defense and civilian - looking for a solution specifically designed for the huge influx of unstructured data and digital content, including satellite images, digital photos, video, audio, geospatial data and documents, which will enable them to accomplish key initiatives for the United States," said Brett Goodwin, VP of Marketing & Business Development, Isilon Systems. "Isilon is honored to be recognized by GCN's editors with this prestigious award and accepts the Best of FOSE award as additional proof that clustered storage is the major new category transforming how government organizations store, access and deliver their mission critical data."

More than 100 high technology companies submitted new products in the annual GCN Best of FOSE Awards program. Seventeen products from 16 companies including Advanced Micro Devices, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Motorola, and Research In Motion's Blackberry received the distinguished award across a wide range of technology categories. The awards are judged by the GCN Lab staff and the technology editors of GCN and Washington Technology for outstanding technology advancement and innovation.
