ISaGRAF Releases the ISaGRAF Runtime Development Kit Version 5.3 with Major enhancements for OEMs and Integrators



Montreal, Canada -- ISaGRAF, the leading automation software technology partner has released version 5.3 of the firmware development kit (PRDK) for ISaGRAF 6. ISaGRAF is the industry-leading IEC 61131-3 and IEC 61499 compliant firmware and workbench for building industrial automation products.

The ISaGRAF PRDK version 5.3 provides the portable C source code for the ISaGRAF firmware as well as detailed examples and extensive documentation so that Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and integrators can port and compile the ISaGRAF firmware for their controller or automation product. Once they have customized the C source code, the OEM or integrator then compiles and loads it onto their automation product.

Major enhancements in version 5.3

The PRDK version 5.30 includes documentation and source code to support any communication driver available on the market. Several drivers are readily available, either in the PRDK or from third party vendors. Examples provided in the PRDK include: Koenig EtherCAT master, CAN I/O driver for QNX6, Modbus IP server for Linux/QNX6/Windows, Modbus IP client for Windows, Service Interface Holobloc function blocks for Windows, and Service Interface IXL function blocks.

OEMs can further customize their automation products with other available toolkits such as Failover, Safety (including safety function blocks), and IEC 61850 (including implementations with Triangle MicroWorks and SystemCorp communication stacks, or any other IEC 61850 stack).
