High Power GaA1As IRLED Illuminator Offers Super High Power For Ultra High Current Applications

Newbury Park, CA. December 12, 2001-Opto Diode Corp's Model OD-663 High Power GaA1As IRLED illuminator was specially designed for ultra-high current applications. Typical applications include use as an illuminating infrared source for CCD cameras and night vision goggles.

Peak Emission is 880nm. Total Power Output (Po) is 150mW minimum and 170 mW (test conditions of IF)=300mA.

The OD-663 consists of three .030" x .030" chips, connected in series with Berryllium Oxide substrates on a gold plated TO-66 header package, which provides excellent heat dissipation. Total power output is roughly three times the power output of each chip at the same drive current.
