VIGI-Lux 5770 is the Vigilant Choice for Machine Vision, License Plate Recognition and IR Surveillance Applications
November 7, 2006 - Stuttgart, Germany - Vision 2006 - Booth 3.0.004 - PerkinElmer Optoelectronics, a global technology leader in digital imaging, specialty lighting and optical detection technologies, today announced that it will introduce its new VIGI-Lux(TM) 5770 High Intensity IR Illuminator at Vision 2006, November 7-9, 2006 at the Stuttgart Messa. The VIGI-Lux 5770 from PerkinElmer is the newest member of the VIGI-Lux IR Illuminator family and satisfies a range of demanding applications including license plate recognition, infrared surveillance, and industrial machine vision applications.
The VIGI-Lux 5770 provides up to 50 Joules/flash of high intensity illumination and is available in both narrow and wide beam configurations. The Xenon flashlamp in the VIGI-Lux 5770 allows the system to cover the full light spectrum from ultraviolet through the visible to the infrared. A standard IR long-pass filter removes all wavelengths under 780 nm, making the strobe invisible to the naked eye. The modular architecture of the VIGI-Lux 5770 affords system designers more flexibility in configuring their end products. The system is conveniently housed in a rugged weatherproof enclosure to protect against harsh environments.
