IO-Link Evaluation System: Sensor/Actor Control via IO-Link Using Infineon Microcontrollers
Hitex Development Tools has developed an IO-Link demonstration system consisting of a sensor (IO-Link device) and an IO-Link master. This product was realized in close cooperation with Infineon Technologies, TMG Technologie Management Gruppe Technologie und Engineering, ZMDI Zentrum Mikroelektronik Dresden and with development tool support from Keil.
The IO-Link demonstrator allows to easy evaluate the functionality of an industrial control unit sub-system. This is achieved by an easy to use PC-GUI (TMG IO-Link Device Tool) to configure the IO-Link Master via USB of up to 4 IO-Link Ports (Infineon 16 Bit XE164, up to 8 IO-Link Ports) and the display of process control data provided by the connected sensor (Infineon 8 Bit XC822). The physical realization of the IO-Link communication is based on the powerful IO-Link PHYs ZIOL2401 from ZMDI. The application of the IO-Link device is available as a µVision development project with C-source code in order to be able to do own experiments.
The system will be shown and demonstrated during the SPS/IPC/Drives 2010 in Nuremberg on the Infineon booth (1-631) as well as on the TMG booth (6-210).
