WEG Extends Micro Drive Line, Adds Control and Programming Options
WEG's popular CFW-08 line of micro inverters is being extended to 10 HP (3 phase 460 VAC), 5 HP(3 phase 230 VAC) and 3 HP (single phase 230 VAC). The new, larger units - renamed CFW-08 Plus - will allow the variable frequency drive to be applied to a variety of industrial uses, including centrifugal pumps, fans and blowers, conveyors, rotary filters, agitators and mixers, cutters and welders, and other process machinery.
Along with the line extension, a variety of features and
options have been added to the CFW-08 Plus. These include:
o Sensorless vector operation
o Dynamic braking (2 HP and larger)
o Optional remote keypad with copy function to
simplify multi-drive set-ups
o PID setpoint controller operation
o Serial communications, including Modbus-RTU in
addition to RS-232 and RS-485
o Selectable switching frequency to 15k Hz
o NEMA I enclosure with detachable terminal cover
Features retained from the original CFW-08 design include a programmable I/O array; 150% overload capacity; robust protective features; control features including selectable accel/decel ramps, torque boost, programmable skip frequencies. jog, ride-through and flying start; and DIN mounting capability.
