Hoffman Specialty Adds New Product To Popular Bear Trap® Line



CHICAGO ... August 29, 2003 - Hoffman Specialty, a unit of ITT Industries and a leading manufacturer of steam traps, regulators, and valves for residential, commercial and industrial applications, has added the new Series B0 ("B-Zero") Inverted Bucket Traps to their Bear Trap® product line. These new bucket traps are designed for a wide range of applications including unit heaters, laundry, steam cooking, process equipment, and steam line drip traps.

Engineered for efficiency and longevity, these cast iron inverted bucket traps provide solid energy savings with lower replacement and labor costs. The cast iron exterior and stainless steel interior of the bucket traps resist corrosion and deliver dependable operation for long periods of time. Series B0 traps also include removable covers for easy in-line service.

Series B0 Inverted Bucket Traps are available in strainer and non-strainer versions for 1/2" and 3/4" NPT horizontal piping connections with available pressure ratings of 20, 80, 125, and 150 psig (1.4, 5.5, 8.6, and 10.3 bar). They have maximum capacities to 690 lbs/hr (313 kg/hr), and a maximum working temperature of 450° F (232° C).
