New Easy To Install Bosch Blue Line Intrusion Detectors With FSP Virtually Eliminate False Alarms

Fairport, New York, November 2004 -- Bosch Security Systems, a leading manufacturer of high-quality security systems and components, announces the release of the Blue Line Intrusion Detectors for residential and light commercial applications. A flexible, plug-in, modular design significantly reduces installation time while Bosch's First Step Processing (FSP) provides near instantaneous response to humans while virtually eliminating false alarms from other sources such as pets.

With FSP, the detector's sensitivity level is automatically adjusted. All Blue Line Intrusion Detectors also compensate for temperature variations to assure optimal performance regardless of ambient conditions, and have sealed optics to provide draft and insect immunity.

The Blue Line's easy-to-mount, two-piece design includes a base, complete with knockouts, plus a front cover that incorporates all electronics and protected optics. No height adjustments are required for 7.5 ft. to 9 ft. applications. In addition, a convenient, removable terminal strip provides easy access to screw terminals and ample space for wiring.

Four Blue Line detectors are available, each featuring 35 ft. by 35 ft. coverage and proven technology for reliable performance: the BLP1 standard passive-infrared (PIR) detector; the BLP1-P with exclusive Pet Friendly® PIR technology to distinguish human signals from animal signals; the BLQ1 Quad PIR, incorporating two individual detectors and eight detection layers that includes a user-selectable, look-down coverage zone; and the BLD1-P TriTech® PIR/Microwave that combines PIR and microwave technology with proprietary signal processing technology to further enhance differentiating human and animal signals.

Blue Line detectors feature a highly visible blue LED, attractive matte surface finish and reliable Fresnel lens design. Monochrome and color camera modules are also available to upgrade any Blue Line detector. The monochrome module supports EIA and CCIR video formats. The color module supports NTSC and PAL video formats. Optional gimbal mount, low profile mount and ceiling mount brackets are available for all models.
Blue Line Intrusion Detectors are available through Bosch Certified Security Dealers, who can be found on the company's Web site at www.boschsecurity.us under the Dealer Locator link.
