October 9, 2006-Jergens introduces Quest(TM) Series Kwik-Lok(TM) Pins as a complementary line to the company's standard Kwik-Lok(TM) Pins (KLPs). Jergens' Quest Series Kwik-Lok Pins feature a lighter weight relative to competitive KLPs - an advantage in the performance racing market where every ounce must be considered. In addition, the Quest KLP features a 303 stainless steel body providing increased corrosion resistance versus alloy steel. Lastly, Jergens has developed a patented low-cost design and has streamlined the inventory compared to its standard KLPs, including only standard sizes and two different handle options. The result: Quest Series Kwik-Lok Pins meet the racing market's demand for high-quality but economically engineered positive locking pins.
Quest Series Kwik-Lok Pins are ideal for the performance racing market for use in hoods, transmission covers, and wheelie bars. For these applications, positive locking pins offer superior performance when compared to detent pins, clevis pins and cotter pins.
Quest Series Kwik-Lok Pins feature stainless steel balls and springs. Pins are available with either ergonomically designed T-handle or recessed button handle that helps prevents accidental actuation. Sizes are limited to standard only, from 3/16" to 1" diameter and lengths from ½" to 6".
