OmniMetrix LLC Introduces Internet Connected Remote Annunciator for the Power Industry



June 4, 2008 - OmniMetrix, a leading provider of wireless remote monitoring solutions for the electric power industry, has introduced the worlds first Internet connected remote annunciator.

OmniMetrix ennunciator(TM) This revolutionary advancement combines an annunciator with remote monitoring functionality. The patent pending product is called the ennunciator. The ennunciator is specifically designed for use by standby power generation customers. Users will have the convenience of an in-building annunciator that can be monitored from any web-connected computer. The system is connected to the web via customers' own local area network.

An advantage of the OmniMetrix ennunciator(TM) is a solution that provides constant connectivity to the customers' service provider. It has the benefit that absolutely no communication infrastructure investment is required.

The ennunciator(TM) units attach to the generator controller, allowing access to engine data over the LAN. It allows customers and service technicians to connect to a remote genset from a desktop web browser and to retrieve engine status values.

The ennunciator(TM) uses a 4-wire connection to the generator control. It has 20 - NFPA-110 standard displays. The unit is dealer branded and provides service contact information in the event of a service-effecting event.
