Multi-Tech Announces Cellular PCI Products for Systems Developers
MINNEAPOLIS, April 5 --- Single and Quad Modem PCI Boards in EDGE, GPRS, and CDMA Technologies for PC-based Systems
Developers needing cellular wireless data communications for PC-based systems can add it with minimum effort by using a PCI card. The need can be for a single line application in remote equipment for monitoring and diagnostics or for multiple line needs such as with SMS (Short Message Service) broadcasting. The new MultiModem(R) internal wireless modems will be available in one and four modem models using the universal PCI bus technology implementing EDGE, GPRS and CDMA cellular wireless standards.

The new MultiModem cellular wireless modems are RoHS (Restriction on Hazardous Material) compliant products are based on the Universal PCI design with either 3.3- or 5-Volt operation, are tested for FCC, PTCRB, and CE compliance, and include drivers for Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Linux operating systems. They also include an SMA antenna connector(s).
