Intermec's CN3 Mobile Computer Certified for AT&T's Wireless Voice and Data Networks


EVERETT, WA: Intermec Inc. announced that its CN3 mobile computer has been approved for voice and data transmission on AT&T's nationwide wireless data network. Bundled with software from Intermec Partner Cheetah Software Systems, the CN3 provides AT&T's wireless business customers with a rugged mobile delivery tracking solution that delivers accurate optimized route planning, intelligent dispatch, real-time tracking of pick up and delivery information, signature capture, GPS location and navigational capabilities along with driver voice and data communications.

"The Intermec CN3 delivers functionality and ease of operation in a rugged PDA form factor to our customers using the largest national high-speed wireless data network in the US," says Laura Johnson, senior director, enterprise solutions, for AT&T's wireless unit. "The device is a strong choice for our customers in the transportation and logistics, field service and consumer packaged goods industries where a compact, rugged device is a must. Customers can leverage the built-in GPS capabilities of the CN3 with AT&T's TeleNav Navigator and Track applications to provide turn by turn directions and mobile resource management to track assets in the field."

The CN3 mobile computer includes an integrated GPS receiver, access to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and AT&T's EDGE wireless data network. The CN3 is equipped with features for the mobile worker such as a 1.3 megapixel color camera to document proof-of-service, shipment condition or vehicle inspection. It runs on Windows Mobile 5.0(TM) operating system.
