Ultra Heavy Duty Interlocks A Modular Approach to Application Answers

SICK's ultra heavy duty interlocks take a modular approach to extreme demands in harsh environments. The i1000 series uses a unique modular construction to provide a variety of configurations-a solution for every application. The i1000 interlocks use a trapped-key transfer system, are encodable with different access rights and cannot be forced open. Simple mounting and an IP 67 enclosure rating are two more attractive features of these interlocks.

In the i1000 series there are four interlock models, plus various
modules and keys; the modules can be added at any time. The i1001
Lock and i1002 Lock with solenoid release provide maximum reliability with dual-channel safety switching and are recommended when the access time is less than the machine stop time. The i1001 and i1002 without solenoid release offer a dual-
channel safety circuit and provide optimal protection for applications whose access time is greater than the plant or machine stop time.

The modular options for the i1000 series include: safety key adapters, emergency-off modules, control lamp modules, lock-out bars and access key adapters. Two models of actuator keys are also available.
