Interface Set suits railway applications.

Press Release Summary:

Backbone Interface Set connects Multi-Vehicle Bus devices to Train Communication Network Systems. With Interface Set, it is possible to build T-bus structure that allows disconnection to bus interface from device without any interruption of bus communication. Interface meets requirements of vibration protection as cables are connected with crimp flange technique to housing, and all wires inside interface are secured through cage clamp termination.

HARTING Presents the InduCom Connector for MVB Backbone Interface Set

The MVB (Multi-Vehicle Bus) Backbone Interface Set is a product specially developed for railway applications where high EMC performance, mechanical strength, and easy handling is required. It is uniquely designed for Train Communication Network (TCN) Systems to connect MVB devices to the TCN. With this Interface Set it is possible to build a T-bus structure that allows disconnection of the bus interface from a device without any interruption of the complete bus communication.

HARTING's interface for the MVB fully meets the requirement of vibration protection as the cables are connected with a robust crimp flange technique to the housing and all the wires inside the Interface Set are secured through cage clamp termination. Load resistors for the bus termination are pre-assembled on a PCB inside the housing along with test capacitors which can be either activated or de-activated with solder bridges.

With HARTING's crimp flange technique and the cage clamp termination a reliable, repeatable production quality will be achieved. Both offer a time saving assembly process either at the manufacturing plant or for retrofit installation in the field.
