Weidmuller Introduces Innovative Line of IP67 Rated Interface Devices

RICHMOND, VA (November 29, 2006) - Weidmuller now offers a solution in a revolutionary compact housing to address signal conditioning in industrial environments. Requiring no additional enclosure, these modules can be installed directly on the machine, in the production plant, conveyor system, or within a process. The JACKPAC® uses the industry standard M12 connector which makes it possible to integrate in the Sensor Actuator cabling. This provides versatility when installation needs to be altered or modernized because no additional enclosure or cabling is needed.

These new JACKPAC® devices are available in many useful and innovative configurations. The configurations include Form "C" Relay Output, Pulse Stretching Modules, Over-Voltage Protection Modules, and Signal Isolators. Each of these devices are housed in an epoxy sealed (polybutylene terephthalate) PBT housing which has a flammability rating of UL 94 V0. JACKPAC® housings are extremely compact measuring only 83mm x 36mm x 14.4mm. This allows for mounting in tight or restricted locations.

The JACKPAC® enables a user the flexibility or ability to immediately introduce an interface device into a circuit without the need for an enclosure or control panel.
