Strongarm MiniConsoles Interface System

Provides Process Visibility for Plant Floor and Process Area Applications

Ergonomic display and keyboard provide increased efficiencies

HORSHAM, Pa. (October 5, 2007) - The MiniConsole, a low-height console system from STRONGARM, is a one-size-fits-anywhere solution for situations where process visibility is essential to production.

The Mini-Console's low height and compact design provides a clear line-of-sight of the process, and features an ergonomically angled display and keyboard for standing operator comfort. Ideally used for data entry situations, typical applications include Work Management Systems (WMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), Batch Control, Human Resources, Process Control, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

"Our customers have found that the MiniConsole is optimal for multi-plant deployment projects where site surveys aren't always practical," says Jim Borton, National Sales Manager at STRONGARM. "Because of its low height, users don't have to move from behind the system or stretch to see their processes, and it doesn't interrupt the plant floor's or process area's existing design. There's always room for a MiniConsole."

The MiniConsole mounts to a short post that can be installed directly onto the plant floor. Alternatively, the MiniConsole is available in a mobile configuration with the post mounted on casters, allowing the operator to bring the interface directly to the process. The MiniConsole can also be configured with a telescoping floor post (in both fixed and mobile configurations), allowing the individual operator to adjust the display height to their own preference.

MiniConsole Features:
o Four display sizes (21.3", 19.1", 17.1" and 15.1") that can be configured with Resistive, Infrared, or Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) touchscreen technologies
o Multiple keyboard and pointer selections, including STRONGARM's exclusive Stainless Steel Mouse
o PC options that include an internal micro PC (easily accessible by lifting open the display enclosure), a small form factor PC in a protective local enclosure, or an internal KVM extender allowing the user to connect to a remote PC up to 3000' away
o Available in NEMA 4X Stainless Steel for washdown and wipedown environments, and NEMA 4/12 Painted Aluminum/Steel for general industrial use
o Configurable for Class 1 Division 1 and Class 1 Division 2 hazardous areas
o Comes completely assembled and ready to deploy, eliminating the need for expensive and time-consuming installation procedures

Additionally, the STRONGARM MiniConsole can be configured with a variety of options to meet the requirements of any application. These include integration of additional peripherals such as bar code scanners, and a comprehensive selection of cooling options for extreme environmental conditions. With over 30,000 installations, STRONGARM's vast catalog of variations and options gives them the expertise to rapidly customize each system to meet the specific needs of the customer.
