Sealevel Systems, Inc. Announces the SeaPORT USB ISO-16

Liberty, SC (May 22, 2002) Sealevel Systems, Inc. announces the SeaPORT ISO-16. The SeaPORT ISO-16 provides 16 optically independent, isolated inputs. The inputs provide 1000 volts of channel to channel and channel to computer isolation. Isolated inputs are ideal for monitoring devices with higher voltage levels from sensors, switches, push buttons, and other user inputs.

Isolation is important in installations where the equipment connected to the PC is on a different power circuit or a different potential voltage level. The SeaPORT ISO-16 can monitor signals from 5 to 24 volts and eliminate the effects of Ground Loop Current, a commonly neglected and misunderstood phenomenon that can lead to damaged equipment.

Onboard removable screw terminal connectors are included on the SeaPORT ISO-16, providing easy-access wiring connections. A 72" USB A to B cable (Part Number CA179) is included standard while an 18" cable (Part Number CA196) is available for connections requiring only a short distance. A DIN Rail Mounting Kit is available for easy set-up in cabinet assemblies. The list price of the SeaPORT ISO-16 (Part Number 8207) is $299.00. The price of the SeaPORT ISO-16 with DIN Rail clips installed (Part Number 8207-DIN) is $309.00 and is available immediately from stock. OEM and volume pricing are available.

The SeaPORT ISO-16 ships with Sealevel Systems' Seal/O(TM) suite of Windows 98/ME/2000/XP drivers. In addition to Windows drivers, Seal/O(TM) includes support for OPC (OLE for Process Control), Visual Basic and C++ test utilities. Sealevel products can be used with 3rd party software packages including Wonderware, Test Point, iFIX, Labview and others.
