NEW MEIU (MPRT Epoch Interface Unit)



The new MEIU (MPRT Epoch Interface Unit) interconnects a Megger MPRT with a Multi-Amp Epoch II or Epoch 20 unit for specialized testing capability.

The new MEIU is a very small (approximately 6-inch square) interconnect device which allows the Megger MPRT to control either a Multi-Amp high power Epoch II or Epoch 20 unit. Employing such a device adds high-current, high voltage-ampere output capability to the MPRT relay test set, when test requirements demand higher test current and output power. An example is the testing of an entire panel of relays at one time, which saves considerable time.

Also, under this configuration the user employing the MPRT can operate the Epoch II or 20 unit manually using the MPRT TouchView Interface (TVI) or automatically using Megger AVTS Software.

Finally, the new MEIU interface unit used with a three-channel MPRT, also allows the user to manually control up to 3 Epoch II/20 units for special applications such as testing multi-terminal current differential relay with 6 currents.
