October 25, 2004, Barrington, NJ - Edmund Industrial Optics (EO) of Barrington, New Jersey offers the PPT Impact Camera Systems. These cameras offer users real-time industrial imaging systems in compact rugged modules. More than just a digital camera, each system incorporates a high-speed microprocessor, 128 MB of solid-state memory, Ethernet and serial interfaces, and real-time operating system.
The Impact C20's high-speed CPU supports a number of cameras with resolutions from 640 X 480 at 60 fps to 1600 X 1200 at 12 fps. The streamlined Impact T10 incorporates a 640 X 480 camera and at less than 1 lb, it weighs half as much as the C20.
Both systems can be programmed with Inspection Builder software, which incorporates a range of inspection algorithms including high-accuracy measurement, defect detection, part location, package inspection, OCR and data matrix code reading. The systems can be programmed via Ethernet.
