Integral's EPOCH IPS Leads the Way with Yesterday's Dual Launch

LANHAM, Md., Aug. 15 - Integral Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISYS), today announced that the recent dual launch of BSAT-3a and Spaceway 3 marks the fifth commercial GEO (Geostationary Earth Orbiting) communications satellite launched this year for which Integral Systems has provided command and control systems based on its EPOCH IPS (Integrated Product Suite). EPOCH-based command and control software also was provided to support SAR-Lupe 2, a LEO (Low Earth Orbiting) imaging satellite launched this past July.

"We are pleased with our continued successes in the commercial satellite market," said Stuart Daughtridge, Vice President of the Commercial Division at Integral Systems. "This most recent Ariane dual launch is the fifth launch this year of commercial GEO communications satellites for which we have provided our EPOCH-based control system. These launches span five different satellite owners across Europe, Asia, and North America. The inherent flexibility and reliability of our offering, its low cost to procure, operate, and maintain, and the quality of our services and products continue to make ISI and our EPOCH product line the preferred choice of satellite owners and operators worldwide."

During the next six months, Integral Systems anticipates supporting the launches of an additional four commercial GEO communications satellites with EPOCH-based satellite control systems. EPOCH IPS also will be used to support two LEO imaging satellites, SAR-Lupe 3 and 4, and the U.S. Air Force's WGS-F1 GEO communications satellite. These satellites also are scheduled for launch during the next six months.
