Thermafiber Introduces Thermatex(TM) Needled Blanket Insulation


WABASH, IN---Thermafiber LLC introduces ThermaTex, the company's newest addition to its line of mineral fiber insulation products.

ThermaTex is a flexible needled blanket insulation material that can be laid flat or wrapped around equipment and surfaces. Made of mineral fiber, it is available for applications up to 1500°F (ThermaTex 1500) and 1800°F (ThermaTex 1800) and comes in 24", 48", and 60" wide rolls. Available thicknesses range from 6 mm up to 1". ThermaTex PRP incorporates a synthetic fiber to be used as a replacement for ceramic paper or for molding applications. Special blends and sizes are available upon request.

ThermaTex is produced using enhanced mineral fiber chemistry along with a patented fiber mat forming process that results in high tensile strength and excellent thermal properties. ThermaTex can be used in a wide variety of applications in many different industries including power generation, petrochemical, foundries, industrial fabrication, industrial ovens and furnaces, marine, acoustic, office furniture, appliances, building products, and other uses.
