Agilent Technologies Expands Accreditation for Microwave Measurements to 67 GHz and for Optical Measurements



SANTA CLARA, Calif., - Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that its Roseville, Calif., service center can now perform calibrations with accredited measurements on microwave instruments up to 67 GHz as well as optical instruments. The Roseville scope-of-accreditation now includes 50 measurement parameters.

The 67-GHz microwave power capability allows the center to perform accredited calibrations of power sensors, signal generators, and network analyzers that operate up to that frequency. New optical parameters and humidity accreditation allow the center to calibrate laser systems that include humidity sensors, as well as optical power sensors and laser sources.

"Regardless of which calibration service a customer selects, we strive to ensure that all measurements required for the instrument are covered in the scope of accreditation for the site performing the calibration," said Steve Aleshire, vice president of Agilent Americas Service Operations. "This ensures that external auditors have verified proper measurement technique, and that we use accurate lab standards with proven traceability to SI units."
