InspecVision Measurement Systems come with back-light table.

Press Release Summary:

InspecVision Measurement Systems are available in Planar 2D and Opti-Scan 3D models. Planar 2D is designed to measure or reverse engineer flat parts manufactured on laser, plasma and water jet cutting systems. Opti-Scan 3D features high-resolution industrial camera and LED DLP projector. Opti-Scan is used in measuring features of sheet metal parts such as hole size and position. This systems increase speed and reliability.

Original Press Release:

MC Machinery Now Offering 2D and 3D Machine Inspection Systems

MC Machinery Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corp., has partnered with InspecVision Planar US and will be offering the next generation of precision metrology. InspecVision, the high speed integrated 2D and 3D measurement system, brings speed, accuracy and reliability to a shop’s measurement quality process.

InspecVision Planar 2D can be used to quickly measure or reverse engineer flat parts which have been manufactured on laser, plasma and water jet cutting systems as well as punched and some stamped parts. Planar customers range from small job shops to multibillion-dollar turnover companies covering almost every industry that uses sheet metal, such as electronics and communication industries, automotive and aerospace.

The InspecVision Opti-Scan 3D uses a high speed, high-resolution industrial camera, and an LED DLP projector to scan the surfaces of an object. Patterns of light are beamed from the projector onto the part, and these patterns are recorded by the camera and used to create surface measurements.

This system also features a back-light table to capture the silhouette of a part. This silhouette image is then converted into 3D edge measurements using the patented Planar Edge 3DTM technology. 3D edges are essential when measuring the critical features of sheet metal parts, including the hole size and position, which are defined by the part’s edges, not it’s surfaces.

Available in a range of sizes and accuracies, the InspecVision systems can be installed on the factory floor and are easy for staff to operate, helping to cut expensive inspection bottlenecks.

True to our promise of providing not only top-quality products, but also outstanding customer service, we offer instruction on how to best use the Planar system to maximize return on investment.
