Inspection Manager, a computerized system that eliminates paper forms from data collection activities, has traditionally worked with several mobile computers including Palm devices from Symbol Technologies*. Now, users have the option of utilizing TISCOR software in conjunction with Kyocera QCP 6035 smartphone, combining the power of a Palm device with the added convenience of a cell phone, according to Chip Rumis, TISCOR CEO.

The Kyocera QCP 6035 smartphone combines a trimode CDMA digital wireless phone with a Palm hand-held computer. Loaded with the Inspection Manager software, users carry the phone with them on their rounds. The user can input any information that they were previously putting in paper forms directly into the Kyocera smartphone. This includes work orders, preventive maintenance checks and general inspections.
At the conclusion of the inspection tour, the user transfers the information directly from the QCP 6035 smartphone to a PC. The software can generate a number of detailed reports, outlining inspection activities and proving compliance to various regulatory agencies.
